Group Visit Wellness Program
Wellness and Your Health is our exciting group program for sustained healthy living.
Who is this Program For?
Anyone who is struggling with any lifestyle related illness such as overweight and obese, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart problems, and other chronic illnesses. You do not need to be a patient at Family Doctors to take part in this program. You may need a referral from your PCP.
A comprehensive 12-week Wellness Program, focused on making successful, long-term, lifestyle changes
Improve health, fitness, mental well-being, and self-esteem
Fun, Dynamic, and highly interactive, supportive group setting
Learn not only “what to eat”, but why and how
Fun activities such as an exercise class, restaurant field trip, mindfulness activities, and a supermarket excursion
Learn about nutrition, exercise, motivation, sleep, long term behavior change, and mindfulness
Who Runs the Program?
Dr. Lisa Ceplikas, Dr. Elizabeth Alt, and Diane Dube (Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist) will be leading the groups together.
All three are very excited about this opportunity to improve our patient’s health in a fun, supportive environment!
We will also have the opportunity to work with some special guests as well!

Exercise Classes
Exercise classes are offered at our practice location in Swampscott. Join our professional yoga instructor and physical therapist, as they teach you how to feel stronger and healthier.

Gentle Yoga
What is yoga?
Yoga is an ancient practice in which participants utilize various gentle stretches (called “poses”) to improve health and fitness, while sharpening the mind.
Who Should Sign Up?
Anyone! Yoga has been clinically proven to improve back pain, stiffness, depression and anxiety. It has also been shown to increase strength and flexibility, while lowering blood pressure and improving sleep.

Slim into Spring
What is this Class?
A six-week weight management program offered by Registered Dietician/Nutritionist Diane Dube that highlights new research on weight loss and medical aspects of weight. Discussions will focus on how to manage meals out, behavioral changes, and reviewing diet options.

Improving Back Pain
What is this Class?
This class is designed for those millions of Americans who suffer from lower back pain. Back pain can be a chronic and debilitating illness. Fortunately for most people, exercise and stretching will lead to significant improvement in symptoms and improve day to day function.
Physical therapy and activity are considered essential in the treatment of lower back pain and we are happy to offer this class to assist our patients with back pain increasing their level of function and decreasing their pain.
Who is this Program For?
Patients in our practice who are feeling symptoms of depression or anxiety including sadness, loss of interest in activities, difficulty concentrating, poor energy, feelings of worthlessness, thoughts of suicide or self-harm, sleep problems, appetite changes, excessive worry. Ask your PCP to be connected to our support specialist.
Collaborative Care
Within our practice, we have a team-based program including your PCP, Support Specialist, Consulting Psychiatrist, and Social Worker, to help you manage depression or anxiety
Who is this Program For?
